To celebrate 85 years of company history, CIFA has set up a museum / showroom , which has the hard task of condensing the company’s history, products and innovations in the concrete constructions world into just a few square metres.
Access to the museum is through a glass tunnel, which offers visitors an introduction to the history of CIFA along a series of photographic panels that tell of the company’s evolution through the evolution of its products and the key players in different periods. The display panels proceed into the museum, mixing with the tales of some important historical events in Italy and around the world, during the growth years of CIFA.
On the opposite side, the display panels tell of the evolution of site work through the most important infrastructure works carried out using CIFA equipment in different periods. In the centre of the exhibition space there are two vintage machines: one of the first truck mixers, the Transmixer 800 from 1967 and the first concrete pump, the AP50D from 1970. Also in the centre is a miniature scene with models of products in the current CIFA and Zoomlion ranges, perfectly integrated and complementary in all construction machinery segments.
At the end there is a multimedia room where the screens show different films describing the innovative features of the most recent products (the hybrid mixer Energya E9, the evolution of the Carbotech range and a video presenting the whole product range). Moreover, again in the multimedia area, the concrete products range is projected onto a canvas portraying a formwork used in tunnel. A video is also shown of the Cifamobile 50 batching plant in holoscreen (a holographic screen), as well as a stereoscopic presentation of the MK25H truck mixer pump.
Finally, a ‘company profile’ video briefly describes CIFA and its incorporation with Zoomlion in facts and figures, and another video pays tribute to the work of all the employees, the true heart of the company, who, together with the company’s technical skill, are able to ensure the production of complex and reliable constructions. The exhibition is completed with a section of a carbon fibre distribution arm and some display cabinets and pictures illustrating the design methods used by engineers now and in the past.
Cifa Museum wants to value its history, also through production of videos and multimedia instruments. In the multimedia area several videos are displayed: a holoscreen video of Cifamobile 50 mixing plant, a stereoscopy presentation of MK25H mixer pump and a company profile video briefly describing numbers of Cifa and of its integration with Zoomlion. Recently shot, the tribute video entitled “The heart of CIFA” is dedicated to the ability of the employees, capable of reliable and complex constructions.
The story of the company is told through display panels that reconstruct both historical events relevant in Italy and in the world during the years of Cifa’s growth and evolution on worksite of the most important infrastructural works realized with Cifa equipment, in different periods. In the central exhibition area two vintage cars are on display. One of the first truck mixers Transmixer 800 model of 1967 and the first concrete pump AP50D of 1970. Moreover, still in the centre, there is a plastic model that recalls, in miniature and with scale models of products, the current Cifa and Zoomlion range, perfectly integrated and complementary in all the segments of construction machines. There is also a multimedia room equipped with screens that propose several clips regarding innovative features of the most recent products (hybrid mixer Energya E9, evolution of the Carbotech range and a video for presentation of the entire product range). The exposition is completed with a section of carbon distribution boom and some cases and pictures showing the design method used by technicians in the past and in the present.
